A trained and certified EMR possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS response and to assist higher level personnel at the scene and during transport. Emergency Medical Responders function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical direction. Emergency Medical Responders perform basic interventions with minimal equipment.

Class Schedule

We offer 3 AHA courses:

• The AHA’s BLS Provider Course trains health care professionals and others to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies.
• The AHA’s ACLS Provider Course is geared towards healthcare professionals who may either direct or actively participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.
• The AHA’s PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies.
